Location: Great Falls National Park, Virginia

Dates: 12/10/2011 & 01/14/2012

We will meet one half hour before sunrise to be on location for first light. We will plan on shooting for a couple of hours around the river and in the woods. After we finish shooting ur morning session, we will have a three hour classroom session starting at 11am at the Comfort Inn in Tyusons Corner. In class we will cover shooting techniques, composition and Lightroom/Photoshop workflow training. After class ends, we will head back over to the park for later afternoon/sunset outing. Pizza lunch nd soft drinks are included in the cost of the workshop.

Joe is also a staff course instructor for Nature Photographers Magazine, and writes a regular blog column forOutdoor Photographer Magazine online edition. Joe is also a co-author and contributing photographer two print books, The Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography (Mountain Trail Press) and50 Amazing Things You Must See and Do in the Greater D.C. Area, The Ultimate Adventure Guide.  Joe continues to travel extensively producing new and exciting images of the natural world as well as leading several photography workshops and photo tours each year.
